These amazing self-collected fossilized leaves are from the Late Eocene - Early Oligocene time period. This one is especially cool because you can see there the leaf had folded while it was getting buried in the sediment that preserved it. There are multiple species conglomerated in this specimen. We are unsure of the species at this moment. There is some debate on which formation they are coming from as we are finding mixed information from different geologic surveys and maps. These leaf fossils are from the beautiful State of Washington. We believe these fossils are 33 million - 23 million years old.
