These amazing self-collected fossilized leaves are from the Late Eocene - Early Oligocene time period. There is some debate on which formation they are coming from as we are finding mixed information from different geologic surveys and maps. These leaf fossils are from the beautiful State of Washington. We believe these fossils are 33 million - 23 million years old. There is going to be further research done on these to identify and confirm the species. If purchased before we get species identification from a paleobotanist, we will message the buyer with the correct ID but for now, the species is undetermined. On this slab in particular, there are a lot of different kinds of fossil flora. Atleast 3 different types of leaves and some other plant material. We believe the species of the most prominent fossil is a willow leaf from millions of years ago.
